Men in Mission

"As iron sharpens iron so one man sharpens another."
Proverbs 27:17

All men are invited to be a part of Hope’s Men in Mission. They are men that are committed to serving each other and the community.

The men's group has a Tuesday morning bible study that you are invited to attend @ Coffee House and Deli.  The men are involved in a number of activities....picking up the litter on the 101 Freeway from Traffic Way to Del Rio (northbound) is one of them (generally meet the last Saturday of the month at 8:00 am behind the gas station at El Camino & Del Rio roads).

Hope Prayer Network

This ministry focuses on prayer requests submitted on prayer request forms each week at the services. Following the services the requests are compiled into an e-mail message and sent to members of the Prayer Network. Those people will spend a concentrated period of time praying intently on each request. Call the church office if you would like to submit a prayer request or would like to be a praying partner.

Youth Ministry

We, as members of Hope Lutheran Youth, as witnesses for Christ, see as our purpose, sharing the loving grace of Christ among the people in this place and spreading the gospel message to our community and the world. Youth group meets every Sunday evening at 6:15 pm at the church. For more information you can contact the Youth Director, Lou Coppo, by calling the church office.

        Quilting Circle

The Quilting Circle is open to any interested member of Hope Lutheran. There’s something for everyone to do even if you don’t sew. They meet on the 2nd Saturday of each month at the church at 9 am. Call the office for Clydean’s phone number if you have any questions.

        NewSong

A praise band that leads congregational singing at our 9:30 am service. They also provide music at offering times and during communion. Rehearsals are weekly; short-term time commitment to start. If you would like to be involved with this singing group call the office or talk with Pamela Billings.

      Parents of Teens

A Parents of Teens prayer group will be meeting at various times.  Please call Lyne Bloomfield or Lori Bickel for more information.

       ECHO Serving Meals

Twice each month members of Hope Lutheran serve a meal to the hungry and homeless of the area. These volunteers serve on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday. Serving takes place from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The First Baptist Church of Atascadero provides their facilities for this program. If you are willing to participate in this ministry you may call Norma Mueller or Joan Helgren.

 Handbell Choir

If you are interested in being part of this ministry contact Dalene Eimon. They rehearse every Tuesday at 6:30 pm. You don’t need to know how to ring because there are beginning lessons.  A little knowledge of music would be helpful, but the choir would love to have anyone that is willing to learn.

Stephen Ministry: Christ Caring for People through People

The Stephen Ministry recognizes that we all are broken people and that it is only through the cross of Jesus that we are made whole.

Hope’s Stephen Ministry equips lay people to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to individuals in our congregation and community who are experiencing difficulties in their lives.

We all experience challenges in life—times when we could benefit from the support of a caring Christian friend.  Stephen Ministers are ready to provide the emotional and spiritual care we need when faced with a crisis or difficulty.
